First of all, I am converting my 9300 to an XPS and want working LEDs when I'm done.
I've been doing some fairly extensive research on this issue. I'm trying to figure out if, for instance, I were to get some of the LED connectors and solder them onto a 9300 motherboard, would I be able to connect the fan, speaker, and lid LEDs to them and make them work? I researched some threads and found no real answers, just a lot of people pondering.
I have found out that all of the spots for the connectors are there, just no connectors soldered to them. I just don't know if there are any resistors, capacitors, etc missing from the motherboard to make the LEDs work.
Has anyone else here researched this issue thoroughly? I doubt I can get schematics for both of the boards.
