Gateway MX6025-Change screen brightness?

Hello,

I hope I am in the right place. I tried searching but maybe I am not using the right key words. I have a Gateway MX6025 notebook and when it is unplugged the screen autmatically dims (obviously to save the batery) but it dims the screen way too much. It is very hard to see when it is like this. I can't for the life of me find a place to change the brightness in the settings. I've looked in the power properties as well as just the normal properties. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the screen to make it brighter while the notebook is unplugged? Any info is appreciated, thanks!

i would first try to set the power scheme (display properties, screen saver, power scheme) to home/office and see if it helps

cheers ...

Thanks for your reply. I tried that already, no matter what scheme I put it on, the brightness of the screen stays the same I don't know what to do!

function and the power up button/down button. that will fine tune the middle setting your laptop. the middle setting is one of 3 settings, you need to press function and f8 to switch between lowest, middle, and high. the middle setting can be any setting you like and will be the default setting when you use your computer with a chord or without it.

Press and hold the Fn key (bottom left corner). Then tap the UpArrow on the lower right corner.
