Combo - USB Wireless Adapter + USB Pen Drive - whaddya think?

Thinking of getting this item
Apacer Wireless Steno MB112 (USB Wireless Adapter + Pen Drive) 256MB
http://iocombo.com/product/showprodu...productid=07UV

I have a PC and a notebook at home. When I go to work or meeting or to a cafe, I usually bring my notebook. But when I'm home, I transfer my files to my PC using a file transfer cable because my PC is considerably faster than my notebook.

While un/plugging the cable is not that much of a work, I find that this item is a really good solution to my problem because now I can get my notebook to access internet in any "hot spot", but also transferring data from/to my PC will be a lot easier considering that the USB wireless adapter also works as a 256MB pen drive.

My only concern is that it is a USB 1.1 ... what do you think? PS: I am a writer, I don't transfer that much a data, but I am doing research on the Net quite extensively and sometime needs to save pages and pages of internet site.

a USB 1.1 wireless access does not sounds like a good idea to me.
Also it is not only USB 1.1, not 2.0. It also is wireless 802.11b not 802.11g

For less then half the price of this invest in a low cost HUB and NIC for your desktop (since the laptop certainly already has this). Total cost = $20-40.00 and speed = significantly faster (more then 20x). Also would allow the easy sharing of internet and devices like printers.
