Most bashers have never owned an Alienware computer.

Yeah my classmates (non of them have or have not owned an Alienware system) have reacted mostly in two ways regarding my purchase of an Alienware laptop. On one side, they are wowed and excited of actually seeing an Alienware laptop while others bash Alienware. Like I've heard them say" buying an Alienware is a waste of money", to just plain "why", and "there's no point of buying a $2000-$3000 laptop". Mixed reviews indeed.

People should be happy with what they have. I for one will want to get an Alienware Laptop but that wont happen any time soon. Maybe after i am done with college.

lol! I love Jerry though. Then again, maybe Jon Bon Jovi should have one too. lol. He does have the superman tattoo on his uh.. bicep. >.>; I'm kidding. Beautiful Superman laptop though, MaxGem. Alienware definitely has done a great job with the design. I love it when AW does these movie-inspired laptop themes. What a great way to promote the movie, I'd say. hehe, I got that backpack too. I love it. Thanks for the pictures.

Speaking of movies, I wouldn't mind seeing a Transformers special edition themed systems. Have the paint done by Smooth Creations again but this time maybe let the customer select a design. Maybe Optimus Prime or a BumbleBee design.

It can sometimes be a hassle keeping it clean and scratch free but it's worth it

I just ordered this as a replacement for my wife's crappy Compaq last night and was wondering if the OP still likes his. Not a big super man fan, but AW has the price seriously discounted and the spec's on it are good for the price.

Still liking it and loving it . Never had an issue or problems with the laptop. You getting this for your wife? Mobility might be an issue but the laptop seems pretty light and slim for a desktop replacement. As for battery I can get a good 2hrs when the CPU, GPU and screen are at their lowest settings. Other than that, the price right now is great.

It'll never leave the desk and never be used for anything more than making a schedule with Word..
I've liked the 5550 so far and haven't had an issue with it so I'm gonna try the Superman one now. She wanted a 17" screen and up until the big price drop there wasn't anything with a reasonable price that would fit the bill (from AW). A guy at work is seriously thinking about trading me his brand new 1705 for it though because he's a Superman freak. I'd take him up on it too because he has the same spec's my 1705 (below) has except the CPU is a T7200..

I was checking on the status of mine just now (STILL in phase 6..) and the Superman is gone. Would be seriously sweet if I bought the last one of the run... but it was probably someone after me
