Help Me Chose!

Hi. i need help. I'm planning to get laptop. from around 900 $. Screen size 15". ram memory 1GB+. HD 80Gb, and some good graphic card(128,256mb) would be enough and the only thing that bugz me is AMD or Intel Processon. I have Desktop PC with AMD processor & im really pleased with it. Im thinking like AMD X2(1Mb cache) or Intel Core Duo 2(2mb cache). I was looking at Dell, HP, Gateway and some other stores. I wanna hear from u about Gatway laptop experience cuz they offer really good stuffs for that price. thank you!

I would certainly recommend the Core 2 Duo. Price for performance is unmatched.

I can't comment on specific models or companies, but I would start with Cnet and punch in your requirements, should give you a good list of laptops to look into

for the proc get the intel proc, they are the best today in terms of performance and power utilization.
