Sager 86 Sound Card

I just got a used SAGER laptop. It has a Pentium 1 at 133MHz and 16MB RAM...I installed Windows 95 on it but cannot find the proper sound card drivers. I have found that the card is made by OPTi but have not been able to find the exact driver to make it work. Where could I get this driver, the computer's model number is 86.

Hi there, I would suggest you email Sager tech support and simply ask them about the chipset and see if they have drivers posted for that model (although I did not see the 86 listed in their archives).
If the internet is to be believed you have an OPTi 930 chipset based sound device. A quick search based on that info leads to:

http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/drivers/32/32811.htm

If that is not what you are looking for there are more options for that chipset at:

Any more info would require a bit more in depth Googling. Hope this helps you out a bit. Take Care, Andy

Well, I found the drivers and got it working. It was indeed an OPTi 930. However, all of the disks on that site were incomplete, so I had to find each part of the driver and copy it all to a disk in order for it to install right. I probably should post an image of my completed disk somewhere.

Sorry...lol

As soon as I found it I kinda left these forums, I'll upload the disk I made, just extract the contents of the .zip to a blank floppy disk, then use that to install. I've tested this working in Windows 95 on a Sager 86 Laptop.
