M1210: Webcam Missing, Windows: Unkown Device.

Just got M1210 Last week, I reformat it, everything works fine, web cam works.. until yesterday, while I was using, it says on the task bar.. "found new hardware.." " unknown device" went to my computer, and my web cam is not there. I thought ok whatever, restart, and it showed up again, and I'm able to use the web cam.

But now, (just recently) it happened again, restarted a few times, but it's still not there..


What to do now?

Ok, Now It detected it after I wake it up from standby...


Also, why sometimes it will re detect my Razer CopperHead Mouse after afew reboots?? Found new hardware.. bla bla bla..

Reinstall the drivers for both the devices... these kinds of problems usually happens relating to Hybernation... a proper shutdown is best..

this is most likely related to under or over voltage on the usb ports and happens with uli usb...

I do not use Hibernate.. How can I reinstall the driver, it cant even detect the webcam.


But the webcam still works for now. Not sure if it will happened again.

ULI? it's not using intel USB?

Yeah the issues in question are usually related to users who use standby or hibernation as the other user suggested user proper shutdown and startup and also reinstall up to date drivers.
