installing ati driver causes c000021a error

I'm trying to install a new ati driver for my acer 5672 with the x1600 graphics card, but before the installation completes I get the blue screen of death and my computer shuts down. I'm able to start my computer up again, but I need to install a new driver because whatever driver it has right now doesn't work very well. I pushed alt-f10 so that I could reinstall the original driver, but again, I got the blue screen of death with the c000021a error. I used the mod tool as well but I cant seem to install a new driver successfully. Please help me

u need to find out the actualy pid and dev of your card, and insert those into the .inf before you install. i think it may be a hypermemory issue. some x1600 use more, or less of it. or have diff configs

if you use the EXACT pid and dev for your card, the crashes will most likely not happen unless u have a hardware issue.
