Battery Wear Level....

Thread Starter
Ok, so i was reading a thread over at hardforum where they were talking about battery wear on laptops and i would just like to get a fell of how people use their laptops, how big the battery is, how old the BATTERY is and what the wear level is.

So it will look like this:

Use: (ie: always plugged in, run down battery every day, etc)
Battery Size:
Age of battery:
Wear level:

Here is mine:
Use: i wear my battery down every day, ~9 hours a day on my laptop (im a college student). With the 3 cell i use to leave it plugged in all the time.
Battery size: my daily use battery is 9 cell, my stock battery is 3 cell.
Age of battery: 9 cell = 2 years, 3 cell = 3 years.
Wear level: 9 cell = 5%, 3 cell = 40-60% depending on what utility is used.

So lets see some other results....

Use: Usually run down 3-4 times a week.
Battery Size: 9 Cell battery that came standard on my dell M170.
Age of battery: 9 months
Wear level: ~30%, new holds 2.5hrs, now only good for roughly 1:45-2hrs.

~36 minutes out of original 225 minutes. 22 months old, 8 cell, rarely use it on battery alone but always kept plugged in which is what kills it (battery + ac, 24/7). wear level=ridiculous.

55% wear level. Laptop is 6 months old. Run down the battery once a week. I get 2 hours out of the battery out of the original 2:10. Manufacturer states that this battery should deliver about 2 hours of up time. The ware level that is calculated by NHC is wrong.

My battery is a 6 cell
