Wake M1210 with Lid Closed?

Is there any way to wake the m1210 with its lid closed? I have tried waking with a USB device but couldn't get that working. I'd like to be able to use it as the CPU in a desktop setup (with external monitor) and not have to open and close the lid any time I want to wake it up.

Does the USB dock for the m1210 have this ability? It was one of my favorite features in the docks for the Inspiron models.

Thanks!

USB Docks won't have that functionality either. Only Laptops supporting real docking stations (like the older Inspirons and the Latitudes) have that function.....at least until laptop manufacturers start putting power buttons on the outside of systems.

go to control panel and then power settings... I use mine as a desktop. I just told it when on power cord don't shut down everything. Now the ext. mouse wakes it up.
