MediaDirect is no go!

I have a E1705 (bought last April). The first time I used MediaDirect, it gave me the "will take shorter" screen and everything was dandy. After I restarted, however, no amount of pushing the button would make the MediaDirect screen show up(I've been stuck without it for months!). Yes, I did try the fix that is on Dell's website, and still nothing.
FYI, I uninstalled Windows becasue I hate all the crap Dell puts on their machines.
I actually don't care about MediaDirect, but I would like it to work in case I'm going to sell my lappy.
Thanks in advance!

When you reinstalled Windows you msy have destoryed the special partition where MediaDirect resides, and/or the special Dell boot record required to boot the MediaDirect partition.

if you look around you can find the isos for Media Direct 2. I think you'll need both the reinstallation disc and the repair discs.

Personally, I ditched MediaDirect altogether, as it was a waste 1.5gb of space, and its limitations in format made it pretty much useless to me.

I forgot to mention that I did not touch that partition and I used the program that Dell has to fix the MBR.

Do a Google search for the Media Direct 3 ISO torrent file. I downloaded it last night, and installed it this morning. The only problem I've encountered so far is the Outlook add-in. Just run the C:\Program Files\Dell\MediaDirect\OLAddin\OLAddin.msi to remove the add-in if you do have Outlook.

I've tried everything I can think of...using the MBR fixer and reintalling MediaDirect 2 via the file someone linked from here. Yet nothing....I found the MediaDirect 3 torrent(after much work), so I'm going to try to install that.
