Need help picking out speakers..

Hi, I'm just looking for a pair of decent speakers THAT WILL MATCH THE COLOR OF MY MACBOOK PRO (Sorry, I'm anal about matching ;D), and are reasonably priced.

The sound quality doesn't have to be amazing, but I'd like it to sound decent. They don't have to be very loud either. I have a set of Logitech Z-5500 and an X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS sound card in my HTPC for that.

Here's what I've been looking at:

Altec Lansing VS2321

JBL Creature II - Aluminum

Bose Companion 2

Listed in order from least to most expensive. Like I said I'm trying to keep it cheap, so if those Altec Lansings match the Macbook Pro well and sound ok, then those will be top choice. The deciding factor here is sound quality or volume, just how well they'll look with the mbp ;D..

..But at the same time, I don't want shit speakers. Opinions?

go with the altec's they arent bad speakers.

the bose would be nice too, but i dont see a sub, and in my experience, no matter what brand, no sub speakers sound like they lack a little punch

Sounds good.. And looks like they'll match quite well.. Hell, the sub looks almost like a mini mac pro!

I would say logitech z-5500's they are silver on the front so they will match well. By far the best speakers I've ever used.

edit : might be a little on the expensive side tho I was able to get mine for $200

I personally would rec. the JBL Creatures. I am using them and I just have to say they are superb! They give off a cool look n they have nice Bass n Treble adjustment. get the JBL Creatures!!

Already have them. They're set up on my HTPC in the same room.. I'm just looking for something small to have connected to my laptop for when my parents are sleeping. I'm in the room above them and, well, that sub kicks too much ass for them ;D.. The whole system is ****ing amazing.

I was thinking the same.. I saw all 3 of the choices I listed at Target one day when I went.. And as someone said before - the Bose are definitely lacking in bass because there's no dedicated subwoofer.. The Altec Lansings would be great except there's a lot of crackling noises, and I'm not into that.. But the creatures.. They not only look good, but sound great for their size too.. And the touch-sensitive controls are nice as well.
