I'm not at the place now, but from what I jotted down...

Laptop is Acer - Aspire - 1650
Wireless adaptor in laptop is:
Intel R Pro/Wireless 2200BG

I've downloaded and installed latest drivers, played around with the channel, power, pre-amble, whether it's b or g or auto

The router is a Belkin G Plus

Quite often, the connection will say it's connected, when clearly it isn't. Sometimes it will say it's disconnected and reconnected quickly.

Other PCs in the house work fine. Also, the laptop can sometimes connect with a stable connection to the house next door. But even thought we've sat the laptop within feet of the router, it still does this.

Also, "There is limited or not connectivity" - but it IS connected.
"This problem occured because the network did not assign...." etc
And I've tried assigning a fixed IP to the laptop within the router, and of course, all windows updates are done, and I did a spyware scan with both the MS Defender and Spybot

Basically, it's doing my head in. Before we go and order a new PCMCIA card for the laptop (the current wireless is built in) is there ANYTHING else it might be?

Thanks!
