Hi Ken, thanks for these links!

I have just upgraded to Vista Home Premium, and it went without a hitch. I only had to download the Realtek Audio drivers after the install. Do you think I should additionally download drivers from the links above, or just leave the drivers that Vista found on it's own?

Of course, some of the keys and functions don't work as before - for example the key for disabling the touchpad, the Fn+C video modes, etc etc. I didn't like the Power4Gear utility, so I'm not so fussed about that.

I never could figure out what the following do, so if someone could provide a brief explanation it would be really helpful:-

Asus NB Probe Vista 32

ATK_0100 for Vista (Thanks to BENDER)

ATKDrv UTILITY for Vista V1043.2.31.100 (Thanks to BENDER)

ASUS ATKOSD2 UTILITY for Win Vista (Thanks to BENDER)

ATK_MEDIA Utility for Win Vista (Thanks to BENDER)

Which laptop do you have? if you have Z96J/S96J then you just need to install sound card and card reader drivers, but you might want to download ATI drivers for more ATI features. Asus NB Probe is a temperature monitorning software by Asus. If you install ATK Hotkey, ATK Driver, ATI OSD, ATK Media you get: Make sure download the updated version from the link above of this page, the previous link of ATK softwares doesn't work properly. I still recommend download the drivers form the link above such as VGA, Chipset because it's newer than the drivers in the Vista DVD.

Hi, download all ATK drivers and utility, Intel Chipset and ATI drivers.

The only thing that doesn't work for W3J is audio driver, BENDER found a driver for it you can try download it from the link he provided, if the link doesn't work we'll just have to wait for BENDER to provide another link.

Yeah I know, V6J is a good laptop, the built quality is still one of the best in Asus product line, the reason of discontiuned is because it's not a widescreen, as you may have notice all Asus laptops are now all widescreen and with built-in webcam.

Killing their once flagship laptop was a bad idea...They should at least continue provide support for it
