Asus F3JC Loud Clicking Hard Drive

Hi Everybody I am new to the forum and new to owning Asus hardware. I purchased the F3JC Series notebook yesterday and as soon as I started using it the hard drive sounded like it was working overtime making very loud clicking sounds. Has anyone else had the same problems? I ran a defrag on the disk and it was coming up as 38% fragmented I have never known a notebook or pc i have ever owned to be so fragmented after an hour or so of use. Anyway i ran a defrag and no matter what I do the hard drive remains 20% fragmented. I called Asus support who said that the hard drive is busted but the company I have bought it from are saying its not faulty hardware and refuse to replace the system as the clicking noise stopped once the drive was defragged slightly. I would love to hear from anyone who has had the same problem.

Isn't the F3Jc an ensemble? you should be getting tech support directly from Asus anyway. Can you send it to Asus and have them fix it?

I shouldnt have to ask the manufacturer to fix it the machine is only a day old. I presonally feel the company I bought it from should replace it as I dont want a machine that breaks down in one day. I dont think it bodes well for the future.
