Hi all,

first of all thanks a bunch to navverma for uploading MD3.

Now, i have a problem.

I made an ISO and burned with Nero. Then i booted with it and selected option 2 to make 2 partitions. I installed XP and then tried to launch MD3 DVD but it wouldnt let me with autorun with the following error (maybe because i didnt finlize the DVD?) : "The applications has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem"
When i'm checking Autorun file this is what it has:
[autorun]
open=Dellkit/MD3Recovery.exe "Dellkit/Dellkit.exe"

I installed MD3 from directory WindowsMD3 on the DVD and then shutdown my PC and pressed me MediaDirect button but it gave me NTLDR error. It started all over again and it happened again.

I started all over. Right now i have a clean install of Win XP Pro.
Windows Disk Management shows the following:

1. 47MB partition.
2. C: - 15GB
3. D: - Rest (RAW)
4. MEDIADIRECT

What to do next? Should i run Dellkit.exe first or MD3recovery.exe? i also heard that i have to install PowerDVD first but i didnt receive that cd either (i have my own PowerDVD-not Dell). Do i need to install any drivers before that or any software?

Can someone please explain in as much detail as possbile what should i do next

Thank you very much

I installed MD3 and it works great but now it says I have no diagnostics on my utility partition. It does the pretest diagnostics then when it goes to the the actual diagnostics it fails. Is there some way I can install the diagnostics on the utility partition?

you need to download the diagnostic upgrade and install it, if it doesnt work read the following. all from a page previous.

The quick fix to to download BartPE and make a boot CD from it. It lets you boot into WinXP from a CD and then run the Diags Upgrade from there. It will work fine that way.

BartPE is a utility to allow you to make a bootable CD, alll you need is a copy of WinXP for it to copy the CAB files from.

Let me know if this works, it has for me.
