Most people have a preference, some will either like Cleartype or some can't stand it. For me, with Cleartype ON, text looks fuzzy around the edges. For others, Cleartype is biscuits and gravy. I think people should at least be given the choice on what they prefer to use.
About the security CON, I think we all can agree that nothing out there is secure. It's true that it look longer for people to crack Vista than it did XP, but eventually someone felt the need to break it and they did.
I am currently running Vista Enterprise Build 6000. I have tried Vista Ultimate, but I don't need the extra Media Center features and goodies.
Below are a few sites siting the differences in each Vista edition. Enjoy!
I agree that clear type should be a choice I just dont think going as far as saying its a CON is worth it. Its a very small feature out of the many in Vista and I was just suprised that was pointed out as a CON when there are much bigger problems such as drivers right now.
As you said, nothiing is secure and nothing every will be but with Vista I would consider security as a pro, would you not? Its more secure then XP is right now, and Vista was just released. Thats usually when the most hacking is done. If you have ultimate and Bitlocker then you computer is just about a safe.
