How do i configure Router's TCP and UDP?

Hi all,
I apologize in advance for my relative noobiness , but I can't figure out how to configure my Belkin Router so I can make use of my DSL and WinMX. What the heck is all this about the trigger port, IP port, and inbound port. I'm not sure what is supposed to be in the private IP address either.

Could someone please explain the finer details of router configuring to me and how I may be able to use WinMX like it should be?

Thanks for the help guys!

Wow, an overwhelming response

This is the first time that I have posted anything and nothing has been written in response. Is it that no one knows how, or doesn't anyone care?

If you know how to configure routers, please help!

Hey winmx user

Winmx uses specific tcp ports. Should you have your firewall on, you will want to go in and allow these ports. Its all on the winmx main page. Go in to your firewall settings, and add the ports in. It will ask you to name them probly, thats just for you.

Post more specific questions and I will try to help.

Eric

I use WinMX behind a router and do not need to open ports.
