Yah, someone put in a funky exception into their lil UPS DIAD board (fancy thingamajig that you sign when you get your pkg). Mine showed the same thing when it was on its way to Seattle to my friend's house. It sat for a weekend showing that it was out for delivery at some ungodly hour of the morning. Rest assured, there's not much of a likelihood that a UPS guy is out cruising about at 4:30am lookin' to deliver that 8790. A couple years ago, I delivered packages up until midnight the night before Christmas. I think that's pretty much the latest I've ever heard of anyone delivering

11 hours later... still time in the day. Hopefully it got to you. The reason it showed Out for Delivery was probably because the Preload (early team that loads all of the trucks) loaded your pkg on its corresponding truck at 4:30am. I would imagine it's on its way to you soon

Edit: Ah, you edited w/ the delivery while I was yammering away. Good to know it got there

I'll give an update on dead/stuck pixels after i get everything installed.... now where is my windows disk... lol

I know the font for windows installation was ugly, but the uxga makes it feel like it fell off an ugly tree and hit every branch on its way down

dead/stuck pixels:

-window installation: none
-default windows wallpaper: none

everythingseems to be working properly. No dead/stuck pixels at all.

ack... phew... ok, just dust, hehe. Thought it might've been a dead pixel.

I'm typing this on the laptop btw. One thing i've always disliked about laptop keyboards was the space bar. It's too low. No biggy.

For heat, this thing gets warm on the left side of the keyboard and the bottom right side where your right palm would rest. As for the vents on the left side of the machine, it get pretty warm. Not warm enough to burn you, but I don't recommend prolong skin exposure or any other heat sensitive material like a floppy disk. It irritates the skin if you leave your hand there for too long.

I would like to thank pctorque for their business and they got themselves another happy customer

Hey, it's me, i got some questions

Where do I check to see if my computer is throttling?

and

I read about the bios flash to switch the fn and ctrl key. If I flashed, would I have to switch the buttons too or could i just leave them where they are at knowing they have been switched?

Thanks

right click my computer > properties it will be on that page. Swap: you can leave them where they are. It only changes the way the scancode is read.

monk, I know how you feel =)

btw, on the front of the machine, it has some buttons and a display. The on/off switch ( i think it's a switch) seems to stay on the "on" position. I can't seem to slide it over to the off position.

is it suppose to be like that?
