cant defrag?

anyone have any problems defragging?

first time i tried right click on c: drive ->tools-> defrag.

click on defrag.. nothing happens.

tried diskeeper... right click on c:, click defrag... nothing happens.

uninstalled diskeeper... now it says i have no defrag tool installed.

does the 51m come with disk keeper installed????

i have xp pro and an 80GB hdd.

hey jamaster, try system mechanics pro 4.0 version.but i think u may have other problems.

Have you tried to defrag your harddrive in Safe Mode Jammaster...see if that works...

Use a 3rd party App Jam...the XP Defragger is ok but as always, there are better ones available.

Look at the Norton Suites.

Craig is right, it is best to invest in a After Market Defrager, the Windows defrager takes to long to run and really doesn't do that good a job to begin with...IMO

I personally use VoptXP 7, it is fast and has lot's of options on how you want to defrag the drives. It also defrags the NTFS MFT files, one of the few Defragers on the Market that will do that without spending a fortune for a better one. Disk Keeper is another good one a lot of people like to use...

1. im in north jersey, ridgefield to be exact.
2. fixed the problem, i turned off the disk defrag service while tweaking.
