[UPDATE] If there is anyone out there who has Vista installed on their M1710 with a Nvidia 7900GS and dual displays would you mind just trying something out for me. I just want to see if the problem I am having (see below) is an isolated problem or if it can be reproduced by others. Try and set the orientation of your secondary display in display settings to be directly above your main display. Reboot and see if the display orientations are reset back to a default side-by-side setup. Please let me know what happens. Thanks in advance.
I have an external display connected to my laptop and positioned directly above the laptop's screen. I am able specify the orientation of the two displays in relation to one another through Display Settings. Unfortunately after every reboot the display orientations are reset to a side-by-side setup. I have experienced this same problem using the Dell Nvidia drivers, 10040-vista-x86-[Guru3D.com] drivers, XTreme-G MobileForce, etc. drivers. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I haven't been able to find anything regarding this particular bug yet.
