I am working on an eMachines M5312 which is overheating and shutting down. I think it is the processor, anAthlon XP-m 2400+. I am looking for disassembly instructions for this notebook. If I can get to it, I will check the fan-heatsink and apply thermal grease. I have also thought about replacing the processor with a Turion.eMachines support is not giving me much help. Thanks for any and all help.

Thanks, Digg! That link helped me figure out how to get into it. I found the heat sink fins clogged with dust. Testing it now under load and all seems to be going well. Thanks again.
