Dual boot Vista/Xp, 2 drives

Thread Starter
Whats the best way to dual boot with 2 drives?

I have vista and xp on different drives; at the moment I am just swapping them in the main drive bay, but I want to move vista to the 2nd internal drive module

Anyone in the same situation / done this already?
Like to hear from you, cheers

Whichever bootloader you choose (which would depend on which drive is first in the boot menu of the BIOS) just add another entry which points to the other OS. There will already be one entry, use that as a starting point - should be pretty straight forward from there. If Vista is the primary there is a little tool you can use (included with the OS) - name escapes me though, think there is a command line tool (to configure boot.ini) for XP too.

I acutally just bought a second HDD and will switch between the 2 based on what OS I want to run. Eventually I'm sure one of them will turn into an external HDD.

I partitioned my C: drive into two (C: & D and installed both OSes... no issues at all.

I suppose that works, but I'm sure that eventually I'll stick with OS within the next 2 years or less.
