Sager 5960

Thread Starter
I just ordered the Sager 5960 to get maximum performance for graphics intensive AutoCAD use.

Now I just read the "Worried customer... purchased 5960" thread and others that make me skittish about dropping $5k on this machine.

I need feedback on this... should I bail out of this purchase?

Looks like the issue has been resolved on the other thread per Charles@PCTorque

I'm not sure how the issue was resolved since that guy hasn't been online since the 17th.

here's a list of sager resellers

I wondered why you were asking, rickster.

I ended up canceling my order through PCT and going through powernotebooks.com.

I had too much of a problem not being able to talk to someone when I just dropped around 3k for a machine. I canceled through Sager and then notified Charles. Charles sent me an e-mail citing they are short handed being the reason for the delays. He also offered to upgrade my shipping from 2 day to overnight at his cost. He also asked me if I would like to cancel and he assume I did if I didn’t respond (I did so I didn’t respond). A few days later he responded with "I haven't heard from you and will be canceling the order". That was on Jan 22.
I had forgotten about this and never checked my statement. As of right now there is no refund. In his email he says allow 2-3 days to process. I'm out of town right now but will address it when I get home.
