Gaming mouse and keyboard

Thread Starter
So for mouse I am thinking Razer Copperhead with Razer Mantis Pad.
Any recommendations on keyboard, and why? I used to game on old keyboard from 486 days. I tried new ones and I found keys to be mushy, and not very responsive.

I think any standard keyboard is fine, I tried some gaming keyboards I find it that the standard is the best, but that's just my opinion

Razer has 2 keyboards out

Logitech standard keyboard are by far the best, if you are a gamer that puts on a head set and uses a joy stick then those types of people are the ones that get G15 keyboards, if you play CS:S or Quake games the Razer Tarantuala is best.

I use the Saitek "Eclipse". I have used it for over a year. It still works great and has no key/paint rub off. I like it because of the size along with the actual keys. They are not to clicky or to hard to press down. It's a great gaming keyboard so far.

The Actual "Gaming" mice are over rated. I've been through it all owning a G15, g7, g5, Razor, and the best purchase that I've made is actually the Mouse Pad for some odd reason. The Ice Mat is what I use, it's basically Glass but your mouse will fly across it, and in my FPS and RTS games I'm able to scroll quickly and effectively.

Currently I use a DiNovo Edge, and a G7 with my Ice Mat.

I didn't know the ice mat was basically glass! How well does it perform in games like CS:S?

THe Ice Mat is basically Black Glass, and it's very reponsive towards a LAser or Opitcal LAser. Basically the Glass Provides As little Friction as POssible, It's probably the best application for this, beside the El Cheapo Kids who use Wax Paper as Mouse Pads. Now I'm not saying using wax paper is a BAD idea, but I just feel that that the Glass just looks better and it's easier to use for everryday use. I do apply Teflon Cleaner to the bottom of my Mouse about once every 3 weeks, which just add's to the Glide.

I see great improvements with my FPS and RTS games, and Have even fallen into the trap of not being able to settle for anything less.

WAit, an IceMat isn't a Mouse it's a Mouse Pad, isn't a Copper hEad an Actual Mouse? or did you mean Pwn with. ???

Pwn with a Razer Copperhead and yes I know its a mouse pad lol

i personally use the G15 and G5 and it was rather noticieable in my responses in CSS compared to a generic dell keyboard and my old mx 510 mouse

Well Yang, I almost have the same setup as you can see, however I feel that alot of it has to do with the Screen Size, and the fact that we're going to use 1000+ DPI to 2000+ Dpi Anyways. I felt that on a smaller 17=19 inch screen 2000 DPI was almost overkill, but some how when I moved to 24 I use 2000DPI when I'm playing my FPS games. The Increase of DPI is great, but I'm still more drawn in to my Mouse Pad then any of the other stuff I've had. Btw I like my Dinovo Keyboard Alot better then my G15 for some reason it's alot more comfortable to use.
