@ Shlo... great advice there. especially the reading out loud part. When I am reviewing memos one of the more frequent things I catch is misspellings due to people's abitlity to "autofill" missing letters. This happens quite frequently, especially when the misspelled word is an actual word itself, for example: (and not to pick on you )

shlo's "wordiness" critique sounds alot like... Ernest Hemingway's advice (and writing style, to a degree): short and to the point. Almost staccato sentences. Naturally, I'm the exact opposite. *sigh*

It's a fine line, you can talk smack, but it has to be somewhat silly and distracting. Actually act too drunk and beligerent and they'll toss you out.

4 walks in the first inning, including 3 w/ the sacks full (one was a HBP)... I wonder if shlo managed to get inside the rookie starters head?

nah...we were in our seats for the first 5 innings. Then headed down to heckle after that. it was a blast. Their pitchers remembered us from last night. We actually got to shoot the shit with Timlin and Papelbon for about 2 innings. We thought he was being nice for talking to us, but it turns out, he was just running interference so other guys could get warmed up. We were starting to go after Papelbon as he streched out again but then he didn't have to pitch. We did get a talking to by the police though, cause apparently one of us was using too many curse words as Okajima was warming up.
All in all, we won and Putz struck out Manny to end it, so it was a great night. I only wish good teams like boston didn't come with such annoying fans. There was one of those annoying 'know it all' bitch girls down there that we kept getting into it with. We made her so mad, she had to walk away twice just to calm herself down.
I don't mind the Sox at all, but their fans suck.

I just read the C&C3 review, and it was well written, but you shoulda gave it like 1000000000000000000000000000 extra points because it had Billy D in it

I'd say that's over-sentimentality. Which when you think about it, isn't really that foreign to the idea of obnoxiousness. I guess when you get so used to living in the past for 86 years, you have a tendency to romanticize it like that.
