I've recently recevied my first notebook, a Thinkpad T41. I am incredibly
pleased with this machine in all respects except one.
The LCD and its corresponding chassis are slightly curved along the edge that
attaches to the main chassis. This is most apparent when the notebook is
closed, looking down the back panel. My assumption is that the LCD cover is
slightly spring loaded to maintain clearance over the keys and perhaps to
better equip it for falls. Nonetheless it's disconcerting because the two
metal hinges that attach the LCD cover to the main pc appear to be a bit past perpendicular to the case. I am wondering if perhaps there is a tension screw that was turned one too many times at the factory, or if this is normal. Can any other T41 users corroborate?
