Gen1 XPS Subwoofer Help!!!

Hi, it turns out that the subwoofer located in the notebook's battery of my Gen1 Inspiron XPS doesn't work... (i used to see the subwoofer slider bar in the volume properties but not it disappeared after I downloaded the Dell drivers from dell.com)

Anyone knows what's wrong?

Open the volume control window->click options->properties->check the box for the subwoofer.
This should make it reappear in the volume control window.
