Hey all. I have been thinking about upgrading from my 9300 to something with more power and want to know What is the diff between these two cards? I know one has a single heatpipe and the other has two but what else?

... a few hundred bucks

The card in the 9400 is a single pipe card (single heatsink). The one in the m1710 has dual pipe for better cooling. This is much more forgiving when overclocking.

Is that it? Do they both run the same clocks and voltage?

One prolly cools alot better then the other, and I belive people have been saying that they've had better luck overclocking the dual. Not entirely sure if people have been overclocking the single, and overclocking well.

The GS is the same on both models, dame clocks, same ram, aside from the dual pipe. I had much better luck overclocking the dual pipe version than the single pipe.

The GTX is a whole other beast.

So "that's it?" Yes it is!

Indeed, quite simply, dual pipe vs. not dual pipe. I'd say go for the better deal and take the E1705, those extra 200-300$ or more are not worth the little aid in OC'ing.

I have the E1705 with my GS flashed to GSX and 600/800 and it is running fine, it increased 5ÂșC the temperatures.

Better save your money and buy something for your mom.

Is that stable in atitool? I could barely increase mine when I tried it. When I got the dual pipe it made a world of a difference, but it might have been a bad card as well.
