4080 screen vs Sony XBRITE

How do the 4080 screens compare to the new VIO XBRITE technology? Are they pretty much the same or is one better than the other? I like the idea of a laptop with a more vivid display.... Could be awful cool!

Sony's screen is amazingly clear. It's also a high-gloss screen which makes it even purrtier (but increases glare at the same time)... the only problem with the sony screen is that it only comes on the sony laptops, which from past experience, is a friggin nightmare. I'm not one to call tech support, but when the computer doesn't turn on and you have to get warranty work, may whatever you god/idol/tree you pray to have mercy on your soul because you're going to get routed to India to some idiot reading a pre-prepared script, claiming that his name is Chuck (via Sony's patent-pending Random American Name So They Think They're Calling The U.S. Name Generator V2.1), who is only listening to keywords that he can punch in, rather than listening to what your problem is. So long story short, figure out a way to put a Sony screen in whatever laptop you buy and you'll be happy... otherwise settle for the screen that comes with the Clevos (LG/Phillips) which ain't the Rolls-Royce of displays, but ain't to shabby at the same time.

The 4080 screen is not as good as the sony xbrite. Imagine a regular notebook screen with poor viewing angles and then add a glossy surface - that's the 4080. It's nicer than a regular notebook screen, but nothing that special. Imagine a wide viewing angle notebook screen and add a glossy surface and double the brightness - that's Sony Xbrite. The only problem with Xbrite is that response times on the examples I have seen are nothing special.
