Bison Cam working in Vista Business

I found some "Vista Drivers" on a Chinese Acer site. Downloaded the Bison Camera driver, ran the setup program and my Bison Cam now works on my Vista Business machine. I have a 5102 Aspire. The drivers are for a different model, but create a restore point and go for it

Hey, bud, nice find.
Here's another one that's for the 5110 that looks like it includes some patches for Vista Upgrade and Fresh Install. Of course, forum
readers are advised to exercise caution, especially if they don't read Chinese!

Ah, ohkay, here's the "correct" 5100 site- drivers look mostly identical: You can use the -> and <- arrows to scroll thru different models- but they increase to the left and decrease to the right! Opposite of how we're used to viewing.

I believe Acer uses 3 three different cameras so you need to install the the driver for your camera. I will admit that I only used the camera long enough to see if my ugly face would show up on the screen. It did and I turned it off. I may never use it again. I don't know if pictures and sound were part of the package or even if it was there with the media center version of windows. Hopefully some else can answer those questions

You can use it for streaming vid chat like Skype. Obviously the mic and sound do the sound part. Read up on Skype.
