Is it worth it (Vista)

Ok... I was recently really looking forward to Vista Home Premium, but I want some opinions, I am using XP Pro right now.
I have a Dell M1210
2GB 667MHZ Ram
Geforce 7400 256MB
Core Duo 2 T7200 (2.0GHZ)

Will my computer run it fine, and also, do you really think it's worth it? I don't do much I mainly browse around using Firefox, I use VLC, and PowerDVD, and Trillian. That's basically all I do, does it work smoothly those apps? And, is it more stable\faster than XP? By that I mean are operations smoother, and such.
I was going to go with Vista 64-Bit but it seems that there are barely any drivers out, so I decided against it, If I get Vista, I will be getting the 32-Bit version.
Thanks in advance.

I think its better to run the 64-bit because in no time, the whole world will switch...
I just got my home pro yesterday but it only comes with the 32-bit so i ordered the 64-bit (extra 10 USD from MS) and waiting for that

Not sure if its worth much coming from an osx user but when I used Vista (which was one of my main reasons for switching to osx) seemed like it was dragging its feet on whatever I did. Mostly use the computer for Web browsing music and Trillian/Adium. I pegged out my Core 2 Duo desktop just using the desktop sidebar. I would wait till vista becomes a household name to upgrade. as it seems like windows has a lot of work in front of them.

It depends on how much you can get Vista for. I got mine at CampusTech for around $70 and I would say it is definitely worth it. If I would have went to Wal-Mart and forked over $160+ for it I might have been a little more skeptical.

In your case, it does not seem important to update--if you are going to update at all, you might as well wait until the first service pack comes out

I don't think it is worth it. I wont be getting it for my M1210. I got ultimate for my desktop. I am back to XP with it. My steaming music service is not compatible, and my tv locks up with it. I will let it sit for six months. I will check back with it then. I was dual booting anyway. I put the 32 bit on.
