tv tuner thing

hello all...havent been here for while, mainly cause i havent had a problem. well now i do

this is in regard to the tv tuner add on specifically made for the 8790. im havin problems with the picture when using the composite in. i either get no picture or a picture that looks like an old tube tv that needs to be hit. s video works fine though. anyone else have this problem?

also when usin the AverTV studio II for a period of time the screen and computer freezes. anyone have that problem?

any reccomendations on other video in type devices?

That particular module does NOT have a composit in. That connection that lookes like a Video In is really the input for the Antenna. That's why you have such a problem.. You should have gotten an adapter with the unit - looks like an RCA "male plug" with an RG-xx femal end for CATV/Antenna (75 Ohm Cable type).

thanks G-Omaha!!... ended up getting the composite to s video which works.

NOW... my next problem is my 8790 freezes when im using the AVerTV STUDIO II 5.0.2.7... screen freezes, cannot ALT F4, cannot CTRL ALT DEL, Hibernation mode is not activated, have to shut off with power button

thoughts?... ideas?

Might try uninstalling and then reinstaling - BUT BEFORE REINSTALLING, go into the "Programs" folder and delete the original AVER-TV Folder so that all of the "old stuff" has been deleted.
