i went, as u do, to ajp website and proceeded to download thier flash for my laptop. created the bootdisk etc. started the flash, it beeped all the way through while showing it had done 1-4 correctly. then it suddenly went "invalid flash ID". please use the "crisis recovery disk". now it will not boot (the power light comes on though and floppy drive and cd drive power up). i made the crisis recovery disk and it wont read it. I found out there could b 2 possible solutions.

1. need to set a dip switch somewhere. looked under the keyboard and else where and can not find the dip switches.

2. hit a key combo before powering up.

ive tried almost everything. any1 have any other ideas.

if these don't work ill need to contact ajp support. thought someone might have had the same problem here. any help will be appriciated

I'm afraid I cant help you, to me it sounds like you might need to send it in to get it manually re-flashed. A BIOS flash gone wrong can kill a machine quite effectively. But someone on the forums might be able to help you, and for those not familiar with ajp, I think the 5600p = sager 5650 (P4-M / ati 7500).

i think u r right that it is sager 5650, its a desktop p4 with the ati 7500. just checked the bios, its soldered in . this might cost me loads.
