What do you guys think about ABS?

I'm looking at either the Alienware m9750 or the ABS T1. The Alienware is about $1,800 with less RAM, but a better vid card and a bigger screen, and the is about $1,550 with more RAM, different processor, and a smaller screen.

Which do you guys think? I can post exact specs if you'd like later, but please toss me some opinions.

personally the alienware is the better machine and brand in my opinion. as for the 9750 i know you are not looking at that because it isnt released yet or able to be spec'd out, im betting you are looking at either the m5790 or the 9700... as for the m5790 its a newer version of the m5700 that i have. it is one of the best alienware laptops ever made in terms of stability and lack of complaints. it would be a very good choice and remember you can always add more ram later.

hardocp just did a review on abs, they dropped the ball with their RMA process

i'm also pretty sure the T1 is a rebranded acer

I was about to suggest you get the x1900, since it's only a $150 upgrade, not anymore!!! gogo price gouge. and there's a 2 month waiting period for it, so eh...

i take it with the price you configured you're getting the x1800, if you're going to settle for that card, you should consider the dell e1705, the dell has the 7900gs which is faster than the x1800 and o/c pretty well, plus with coupons you can get a nice one for around $1600

The E1705 is the other laptop I was comparing to the Alienware at this point. What do you guys think? Oh, and it was the m5790, thanks for the correction Fidget. Are there any good places to get coupons for alienware? I've seen great dell ones, but none for Alienware.

alienware doesnt do the coupon dance that dell does... deals happen and if you are signed up for their newsletter they send out at least once a month and usually it has their latest deals. just have to watch their site and all, prices change and sometimes they offer good package deals.

the dell is an okay machine and all but in terms of style you wont beat the alienware with a dell
