Vista doesnt see my hard drive during install

Hi all,
I'm trying to install Vista on my 8790...
Here's my info:

Raid is turned off, via the dip switches under the hard drives.
I'm using 1 60 GB 7200rpm drive, which I repartitioned using Partition Magic...
my c: drive has Windows XP on it, and the new partition is blank...they are both about 30 GB each...

When I try to load Vista, it asks for the driver for my hard drive....I downloaded the driver files on sagernotebooks.com, (I believe they have the word RAID in the title), and copied them to my USB stick....I tried to load these drivers, but Vista doesn't seem to be satisfied....it only picks up my USB stick as possible hard drives to install to...

Any ideas? Let me know if more info is needed!

Chris

I read on this thread:
http://www.notebookforums.com/thread162818.html

that vista wants you to have the driver files on the root of the drive you are connecting....I copied the files out of the RAID folder and onto the root of my USB key...I'm trying it now.....

bingo..it worked...i'll keep this updated as i go

Did you turn off the excess USB drives in BIOS (Device 17, I think). When this is done only the read bottom USB port will be active. It's in the book.
