has anyone used shop.kingston.com? I just found this site and it has some nice laptop memory that is cheaper than crucial.com. Which is a more trusted place to buy from, or are they both okay?

I've purchased from Crucial. They're just fine by me. And I found much better pricing on the Crucial side. My experience has always been Kingston has the higher prices. They must be running some good specials. Crucial gave me two gig of RAM about a year ago for $132.00 per stick, which was pretty good at the time, and each stick came with a free copy of Far Cry. Not a bad deal.

Kingston is a very good brand. They're at least as good as Crucial, if not better. They're usually one of my top choices for RAM. I've got a stick of them in my lappy right now.

Okay really? Because I go to crucial.com and they are selling 2X1GB for 203.99 and at Kingston I can get 2X1GB for $188.00..They have 25% off thing going on right now, but they ran out of the RAM I want right now!!!

You definitely have to go with the best deal, for sure! Those were the deals a year ago, and Crucial beat them out for pricing. There's a ton of Kingston RAM available at Microcenter here in Columbus, OH so I can't say bad thing about them in terms of branding. It's right up there with Corsair in availability on the shelves.

It's back in stock 1GB DDR2-667 Module at $94.00 each meaning getting two would only run at $188.00 FREE SHIPPING.

I will buy memory from another company. I have talked to Dell and they have said that it wont be under warranty ( the memory ) but the system will still be under warranty. So now I just got to decide where and when. :P

you can still buy from kingston. your system will be under warranty from dell, your ram will be under kingston's lifetime warranty from well..kingston. so you'll be in good shape there.

I used Corsair sticks of ram in the desktop and my desktop computer loves it. You might want to consider this:
