Would you post a picture of someone wearing the backpack? I'd like to get a visual comparison of how big it really is.

Thanks

Good to hear and congrats on the new bag!

The one thing I don't like is that they changed the interior material color!
It's supposed to be a light blue according to all reviews/pictures.... not that this is a functional complaint... just a nod to misrepresentation in photos.

Mine is set to arrive on Friday... Can't wait to pack mine up!

I believe the internal color depends on the color pairing. This one is Black/Cream. I think the White/Navy had the light blue interior.

I could be wrong though. I'll put more pics up of it on people of different shapes and sizes during my trip to New York. "Yo hey, wear this backpack while I take a picture of you ok?"

For those interested in the "backpack style" bag, I happened across this and thought I would pass it along :
  • Innovative strap ratchet system for carrying as a backpack, shoulder bag or cross body messenger bag
  • Popular mini-pack features two interior zippered pockets for security
  • A headphone port for music players
  • A zip away water bottle pocket
  • Key fob
  • 24w x 18h x 13d cm

Did not research the bag further. Just providing the information, the source of which can be found here. Am not familiar at all with this bag, nor am I affiliated with the link above. Will comment that I have not seen this particular bag with the description listed anywhere else in my travels prior. As always, YMMV.

I was hoping someone had a culumbia backpack.... I know they make darn fine coats and thier bag is weatherproof and for moderately inexpensive price as laptop bags go that will fit the 17" widescreen machines....

as for this crumple bag, how comfortable is it? I am 5'9" but all legs, my waits and over all back is masive short... plus if i am going to ride to school on my bike I don't want it hiting the seat...

more peoples reviews of the different bags that will fit the 17"widescreen machines would be appreciated stupendously..... course my favorit backpacks are rolly type... but I guess I am picky.... didn't think I was since my current backpack is a 40 buck rolly from walmart and it carries extream amount of weight for the last 3 years...

just as an example of one day... 4 huge text books, 2 notebooks, 1 notepad, 1 hardcover 8.5x11 spiral bound scetchbook, notes, thumnails and samples out the wazzo aproximately a stack of papers 3" in hieght, and pencils pens and other drawing tools and 2 rulers, and minimum of two 2-liter bottles of diet coke... just not room to stuff the laptop bag in there to... haha like I stuff it... somebody looks at my baby funy and im all over them... winks

I'm an average 5'7" and the bottom of the pack is mid-ass for me, so when I'm sitting down, the pack is not hitting the seat.

It's very comfortable, and since the bag is fairly long, the straps are easy to get in and out of. That's always been my problem with the smaller packs.

Some other nice things about the Crumpler, it has little clips that you can slide the excess strap into so that it doesn't dangle all over creation, it's got a holder on one of the straps that you can hook a cell phone or other "latched" device on to, and the back is cushioned and countoured such that it actually fits very nicely against your back/waist. With it on, it's as if a monkey is just hugging onto your back

Bought the Kensington Saddlebag from buy.com, 32 dollars shipped, put my friend's 8790 in it's laptop slot, fits nice and snug. It looks nice and has 15 or so pockets and plenty of storage... It has padding and laptop drop cushioning (or so they say) Enjoy

anybody got pics of their Crumpler Crisp Suit?

Hey I ended up getting this one off of Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting

has just the right size and number of compartments. I have a 8890 and it is tough to get the lappy in and out so i added a 1/4" on the side (Sewing machine) to give it enough "play" for ease of insertion.

sounds good - not too big then. My current backpack is HUGE then.. and i normally wear my backpacks low... i'm almost 6ft... a bit under it infact - so i should be fine with this sized backpack. and it looks better too - i like its styling more than the victorionox bag, though i trust that brand more. .... but you can NEVER trust brand-names off ebay, so i think this is the better bet. (and comes with the price-tag to match)... *sigh*...

Crumpler's more popular among the photography buffs - they make excellent camera bags.
yeh and im the evil snit that goes and saves up to by a really nice camera then shops walgreens and walmard for shower bag organizers to hold the camera stuff in.. they are cushy, protective, many are water proof, last a long time, and dirt cheap....

haha

Anyone have the 2004 PowerSleeve17 from BOOQ? I love the look of this case and it seems perfect for me and my 8790 as long as it has room for a mouse and power adapter. I rarely travel and it would be just for moving from home to office, and I don't want anything large, so this seems like the perfect solution. Any opinions?
On second thought, I am not sure the 8790 will fit in this bag. The dimensions are a little off. Anyone know?
Powerbook 17" = 1" wide.

8790 = 1.7" I think?

That power sleve is specifically designed for the powerbook. Getting an 8790 to fit would require quite a lot of velocity, and ballistics. Ouch.

Their Boa.XL will fit the 8790, sans sleeve. The Foolee17 should fit too. If you come across a sizing chart, it appears that the HP ZD7000 is of similar dimensions to the 8790.
