NEED HELP! Screen stress problem on my IBM T43

I just bought a new t43 off ebay for dirt cheap.

It was an excellent deal , and i still think that , but i have only 1 issue.

When i move the screen there is dime sized area of the screen that ripples. It happens when i move the laptop quickly or push/pull the screen up or down. It doesnt effect the color or image after the ripple, but i am still concerned.

The unit has a warranty till 09, and was wondering if i should worry about the problem, or if there is a solution i could do myself. Maybe something is too tight?

There are visible signs or wear or damage on the case. In fact, it looks brand new.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hmmm. Sounds like maybe there's something trapped between the LCD pane and the lid ...perhaps one of the wifi antennae wires (that often are routed up behind the LCD in a slot or specific position) is not exactly where it should be.
Certainly does seem from your description that something is pressing on it from behind, though, and it shouldn't be too difficult to track down what it is if you're a little bit handy with a screw driver. Just work in a perfectly clean environment, and slow & steady so as not to crack or scratch anything.

I would wait to do this till affter you talk to someone from the company it came from and if they say that is a possibility then have them help you walk you through the process.
