My friend has a macbook that was under the fading paint recall. So he calls apple and arranges the repair, sends it in and gets it back within a week, (pretty snappy) however, he notices that some of the screws are not screwed in all the way (left side) and the front of the LCD bezel is miss aligned. So he tightens the loose screws, and tries to fix the bezel. He takes the bezel off, to look for the problem, finds that they had a magnet (left side) in wrong which was miss aligning the whole thing, so he fixes it and puts its back together, problem solved. All is well until about a month later, the paint starts fading again (for those of you who don't know what the fading paint issue is, its when the white paint behind the polycarbonate (glossy exterior) fades in strips that look like fingers (similar to the ribs on the back of alienware laptop monitors ) ) has anyone here had such issues with apple?
