Applications fail when attempting to print

My wife has an iBook G4 that has an issue where trying to print a document or e mail causes the application to fail and close. I work on PC's and am lost. We would appreciate any suggestions.

coral springs in da house! Hollywood here. u folks tried the new chipotle restaurant up there?

1st and foremost, try and repair permissions. in the finder go to:
applications>utilities>disk utility>repair permissions. if that doesn't work, try reinstalling the printer drivers and get back to us.

which email application does she use is it just standard "mail" or is it MS office mac version "Entourage"

Thanks for the help. It turned out that HP had issued new drivers for OS-X that resolved the issue. By the way, I've eaten at Chipotle once. It was good, but a bit salty. Again, thanks for the responses!
