I ran a beta version of Vista for a couple of months on my XPS Gen 2 without any problems. It ran beautifully and picked everything in my laptop without having to load anything off the Dell Driver CD. I could never do that with XP.

It's a shame I could never find a cracked key to activate it... looks like I'll be buying it
