A1667G - Hard Disc upgrade

Thread Starter
I have a Fujitsu-Siemens A1667G notebook with the following configuration:
Mobile Athlon64 3400+
1536 MB RAM
80GB 4200rpm PATA hdd (the one wich came with the laptop)

I want to upgrade my HDD but a friend of mine who works at a computer shop told me that in the past he had laptops wich had HDD compability issues(like the notebook not supporting 7200rpm drives, or being locked on only one type of drive). That is why I really need to know if there is anyone who succesufully upgraded to a 7200rpm HDD, especially the Seagate ST910021A model.

I would really appreciate some help.

EDIT: That friend of mine works at a computer store and I trust him.

It depends on whether the HDD is SATA or PATA. The speed should not be a problem to all notebooks. Just go to the HDD manufacturer's website and go look for software to flash the upgrade to your notebook BIOS and let your notebook recognise your new HDD will do fine.
