Urgent Help Needed

Thread Starter
I have a new Dell Inspiron 6400 that came with Vista. I have a new unused, unregistered Dell Windows XP Pro disc. I was able to install easily after formating the OS partition in NTSF. program startis with no trouble.

The Problem:

When I go to Device Manager, there are a number of "?" for devices and drivers. How can I figure out out what XP Pro drivers I need??

Thanks in advance.

Go the windows update and it should fine many new drivers and such that are needed for XP Pro. Those should go away after you get the updates. You may have to install someupdates, restart, then do it again. Keep doing that untill you can say search for updates and none some up. You can get to windows update by going to Start>AllPrograms> and Windows Update should be near the very top.

Sounds like your missing the Ricoh Memory card reader drivers should be located under CHIPSET in either vista or winxp at the dell drivers download site.
