I just bought one up from Ubid! It has dual SATA hard drives. I am wondering if its possible to install the RAID 0/1 drivers and make them work together!
Thanks!

Really? And paying for it worked out ok? I'm always a bit skeptical when buying stuff online, especially like this.

Yes, I have ordered about 5-6 times from uBid. I had to return something one time and it was no trouble at all! I have had more trouble with bestbuy and Officedepot to tell you the truth! If you order from uBid, I would recommend only to buy the items sold directly from them and not 3rd party. You will be able to see seller info just like eBay.

Wow, because usually when something is too good to be true, it is! I was watching an auction for a dv9000t and it sold for something like $800, and a similarly configured laptop would be worth almost $1200! But I'm wondering, is there any way to get a longer warranty or buy a new one from HP? I'd hate for it to just break on me or something, as I'm already trying to buy a new one to replace an old one. And how can you tell if you are buying directly from uBid? How do they get them so cheap in the first place? How do they make money? Because, usually in order for a buyer to get something for cheap, the seller has to get something too! (principles of economics) otherwise they would have gone out of business long ago...

archalien, Have you actually done this? It is true that the chipset is the right one to support Intel matrix RAID. However, there is NO BIOS setting to enable it. You must enable it in BIOS in order to use RAID. This is not available. I have tried everything to force the RAID drivers with no joy. If you have actually done it, then please provide some instruction. Thanks!

I have not done it, are u using the current bios?
From what I did see, it appeared the entire raid was controlled from w/i windows by the above mentioned program.
It may be enabled by default as the bios does not recognize the second drive as a boot option.
