I emailed Dell tech support last night because my laptop has been overheating farily regularly lately. I got a response this morning saying that Dell would be happy to have someone pick it up so they could fit a new fan and heatsink. The problem is, I need my laptop for my computer science course at Uni, and I can't afford any time without it, so I asked them if they could send me the part so I could fit it myself, even if it would void the warranty (which expires in two days anyway). What are the chances of getting them to give me a new laptop?
