I have a Ferrari 3200 and I have a problem with the IR device.
I remember iaven the early days that it worked flawlessly. I just pointed my IR window from my mobile to the front of this laptop and I could transfter files back and forth however I wished.
This was with the XP installation that came with the laptop.
I haven´t used this IR transfer for a long time now and I have a new XP installed which works much better than the original that came with the laptop.
I have installed most of the drivers from the Acer´s website. The VGA doesn´t want to be installed tho, but that is another story
However... Now the IR funktion is pretty fecked up, It doesnt detect any device when I hold it correctly infront, but it do appear once in a while and disappears as fast again.
There is one device in the computer that doesn´t seem to be corectly installed and it is called something like.... PCI device for simpel communication, it lies inside the Network group.
I cannot get the bluetooth working correctly with my mobile either.... I can surely transfer files from laptop to mobile easily, but vice versa. The devices are connected and everything.
So do any one have any suggestions, perhaps this device which is not properly installed is cusing this weird IR communication problem
