Not quite as step by step. (cus I don't remember every screw location or anything close to that).
Make a grid with icecube trays (or sticky paper)
This is so you can keep track of what grid the screws come from.
Remove move all the removeable stuff (battery & HD)
remove all the screws from the bottom and place in the appropriate grid holder.
flip laptop over and using a flat obect such as a spatula start in the middle of the cover plate that includes the power button. work your way left and right. If you feel alot of resistence, check to make sure you've gotten all the screws. Once this plate us off.
work the keyboard loose (just clips in).
You will then using the same or alternately new grid remove the fastening screws as you discover you will need to. (sorry it's been a while since I did mine).
You will have to pretty much remove every screw.
Remove the card reader (once it is exposed) and the ram is right under there.
For a skilled tech it is a 1 to 2 hour task from start to finish.
I did the HD, ram & re-imaged the drive in around two hours.
If you take your time and look at the parts as you do it, it is not too hard. If you are in doubt, use a digital or polaroid camera to take pictures of things as you go.
I reccommend transcend SoDimms. I got mine from Newegg for 89.00 (free shipping) both work flawlessly.
