Hi,
i have an e1705 with core2duo 2GHz. Is there a possibility to overclock this cpu?

No, Dell uses a locked PLL and you cannot overclock the chip. Even if you could I would not recommend it on the basis of excessive heat generation anyways.

Only the T7200G in the XPS line can be OC from the Dell BIOS.

... which says to me that heat generation is not an issue here... but marketing surely is..

he meant the T7600G 2.33Ghz not T7200G

You're correct however, in general your computer won't burn up even under OC'ing to the sweet spot of something like 2.83ghz.

But maybe it is possible to flash the "old" bios with the bios of the m1710 t7600G
to get the option to OC?!

Its not that easy, the BIOS knows which CPU's can be overclocked and if you do not have a T7600g the overclock option will be greyed out.
