Promise RAID Driver and Vista

I have a 7700 laptop with raid 0 and im going to be upgrading my hard drives this week and installing vista home premium full edition on it. Someone on these forums told me it would be fine to use the Promise RAID Controller Driver version 1.00.1.37 for windows xp. Is it safe to use this driver for vista even though its made for xp?

But I wanted to check the promise website before I install that driver later this week to make sure they dont have a vista driver out yet but when I check for the driver I don't see the FastTrak 378 listed. Does it go by something else or do they not support it? Here is the site I went to: http://www.promise.com/support/downl...wnload_eng.asp

Thanks.

thanks to everyone for posting if it worked or not, i was a little worried about the raid driver since the only way to reinstall it would be to reinstall vista.

I set up vista a few weeks ago, and like the others I didn't have any problems with the promise xp drivers copied of the alienware utilities cd. Once install is complete, windows update installs new raid drivers.
